Laser technology works by emitting a concentrated beam of light
The LASER (acronym for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation) light beam must have three main characteristics: it must maintain coherence, monochromaticity and high brightness, derived from the great power that is concentrated in a very small area. Thanks to these properties, laser engraving and cutting are possible.
This precision cutting technique is achieved by hitting the material with a focused laser beam that is concentrated into a beam the size of half a millimetre: the material, thus overheated, is subjected to the laser's passage and, therefore, the cut.
